Desktop Linux

I still believe most of current Linux desktop users are sort of baby-I-know-it-all type of people. I am not sure about next year, but for the moment, Windows XP is the best desktop OS (Yes, On PC platform I mean), even for people who live with Unix.

And an interesting quote from Channel Register's article on Windows vs. Desktop Linux:

The move to Linux should not be an emotional one. Business executives don't respond to the "Microsoft is evil" approach with the same vigor college kids reading Slashdot while having their morning coffee.

Main reason why I'm not running Linux activly is that my soundcard is poorly supported... And the iPod and my digital camera partly.
I ran Linux 24/7 from 1997 to 2004 without the need for Windows.
But from a security point of view (virii, memory leakage, DLL-hell, etc.) Linux still beats Win32!
